The Waning Gibbous occurs right after the full moon when the light starts to dim. Channel the energy of this phase by reflecting and sharing your experiences with others. Teach one another what you have learnt and show gratitude towards the experiences that have occurred.
Encrusted silver onto a metal plate, master craftsman M A Rauf and his team of five craftsmen have chiseled our beloved phases of the moon into little trinket plates. Inspired by one of our first designs, the moon medallion, we have created the waxing and waning of the moon’s constant transitions; much like our lives. Use the plates as trinket trays, wall plates, or arrange all its phases on your coffee table.
Each plate is carefully handcrafted by Rauf and his team from Bidar the same way as it has been for centuries. Due to its handcrafted nature, no two will look the same.
Time spent — 48 hours to make this plate.
Special mention — It was an honour working with award winning, M A Rauf, the master craftsman who helped us create these luminous plates. He has received the National and Shilp Guru Award (Shilp Guru is the most prestigious award for any craftsman in India ) for his contributions in the Bidri craft revival movement.
